    Market Square paving.

Really? I'd have thought the problems she had during child birth would have put her right off. There was a piece on Midlands Today a few months back where she was complaining about Maternity services at Royal Stoke. Apparenty she had a grade 3 tear. (look it up, ouch!) She didn't get very...

    Guildhall closure?

Interesting plans. Looks like they have reinstated the old Abion Place, between Crabbery Steet and St Mary's Grove. For that reason alone, it gets my vote. The current closed, graffitied shopping centre acts like a Berlin wall cutting the town centre in two. Some of the architecture does...

    Market Square paving.

There looks to be a fair old 'grain' on the slabs, hopefully this will stop any slips.

    Market Square paving.

Correcting the badly damaged version installed 20+ years ago. I suspect they used domestic grade paving stones? This has been badly patched with tarmac for the last few years. Well overdue and hoping for a better job this time. £1m+ should buy quality?

We think it is a Romanian shop by decoding the colours on the sign, a Stafford first? I agree, much better to see an occupied shop than an empty one.

    Yates - ex-Crafty Sow / Yard.

Isn't this just a bit crazy? We had a Yates' in Stafford, which then became an Apres which then became a Lloyds No 1/Wetherspoon as Butler's Bell?

    Escape Room coming to Stafford

Wonder whether it just consists of an accurate model of the bottom end of Greengate Street. No-one ever gets out of there in a car! ;-)

Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

I'd heard rumours a couple of times, away from this forum. First time I didn't believe it. Second time was just this last week and very credible. A unit has been fitted out with all the necessary pasty warmer-uppers. Glad they've fitted a door to the unit in the last week as it was going to...

    Staffordshire Newsletter Website.

The Sentinel site has just been revamped and is now fit for the 20th century, being mobile aware and responsive. Maybe that was the cause of the oops? http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/ A decent browser + AD blocker still essential for using the site. Expect the newsletter to convert too...

    The Living Room (PKA Chambers)

We 'google walked' several of them, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham and Coventry I think. None of them showed any signs of being anything other than a deserted ex licensed premises, Just like Chambers really. If I was being charitable I would say it could just have been the timing of the google...
