Chell Road and Foregate Street restructured again ?

The council have a plan to reduce unemployment in the county. It involves making the unemployed walking along in front of cars, carrying a red flag. This will warn the cyclists and e scooter riders, slow the cars to a safe speed and because the unemployed are doing this they will not be eligible...

Eccleshall Road petrol station to be demolished as part of site upgrade.

A nuclear explosion in Stafford would be seen as an improvement, the zombies walking around town would now feel at home in an apocalypse.

Maybe the testers should swab the town centre for signs of life.

The slow crawl out of self distancing

There is nothing stopping you driving to Torquay (for example) just as long as you stay longer than you take to drive there and return the same day, as you are not allowed to stay overnight.

    Council reveals £22.2m funding package

I wonder how much of the £22m will actually be spent and we will see actual results and how much will be lost through mismanagement and incompetence.

Question about a noise in Greyfriars

Could they be track detonators on the railway to warn drivers about permanent way workings further up the line? It would be easier to hear them further away because of the lack of background noise compared to normal.

    Housing Building - Staffs update

It just goes to show the levels of financial incompetence at SBC, and the depths the planning committee will descend to in order to get any money from developers regardless of the view of locals (ie tax payers) affected by the planning decisions.

    Stafford Traffic.

It won't of been a sleeping policeman, with the way the police stations are being closed/sold off and the thin blue line is becoming increasingly dotted despite increased council tax for the police.

ODEON cinema multiplex coming to Stafford.

If they don't check tickets then you could just walk in to a screen, pick a vacant seat and if someone comes to your seat, admit you must be sitting in their seat and move to another vacant one. The staff don't check to see if you are sitting in the allocated seat when you are in the screen, or...

ODEON cinema multiplex coming to Stafford.

Went in to the Odeon cinema for the first time yesterday, walked straight in to screen 3 with no one checking my ticket. If people cotton on to the fact you can just wander in and sit down without paying then the cinema is doomed.

    DIY speed gun in Weston?

It's the locals complaining about the speeding through their village that are actually doing the majority of the speeding offences. It's always somebody else of course, never them.

    Acton Hill Park

The planning application and approval is just a legal nicety as they development will have already been approved with a gentlemans 'handshake' agreement. Why waste time and money putting in an application if there is a chance it will be refused.
