4G or not 4G that is the question

4g is irrelevant unless you use lots of Internet, if you use lots of Internet you want a minimum of 2gb per month. Anything else is marketing bullshit, but if you don't know what you want then you are a prime target. It's very much like movies, think of 3g as dvd and 4g as blu ray. Most people sit 8 feet from a 32 inch screen and can't really tell the difference, but will swear they can.

Most people don't need 4g, don't pay extra for it over 3g unless you really need it or are crap with money.

Or you can get unlimited 3g internet from Three for £15pm (12 month sim only contract or £18ppm on one month rolling contract) and have their guarantee that when they introduce 4g in the fourth quarter of this year, they will not increase their prices for existing customers. My Nexus 4 with a 3 sim card averages 5.5mb connection speed for download when I'm out and about, which is more than enough to stream hd iplayer onto my laptop/tablet. No way am I going to pay those ridiculous prices for a service which I won't notice any appreciable difference in everyday conditions.

When Three make the change then I'll probably get the Nexus 5 (without contract) which will be out by then and have the full-fat experience for a fraction of the price of getting locked into a 2 year EE/O2/Voda contract.

Can you pop round and manage my finances whilst I go on extended leave with Bjork?

I can pay you in sugar cubes

Björk has not aged as well as she might, sadly, so presumably your extended leave will be once you have found her using a stolen TARDIS. (Unless you are a lord or time, as well as of darkness).

Coincidentally, I did some work a while ago for Clifford Price (your dream was his reality), though he paid me in something rather more substantial than sugar cubes. :P

I may be wrong but I suspect they communicate differently, so unlikely to be able to use an apple peripheral with an android device.

Assuming you are connecting the iPhone to the Hyundai via Bluetooth and streaming your content then provided you pair your new phone to it then it should work just as before. You might even find you get added functionality, depending on the age of your car.

As for the Roberts, I don't think there is any way to convert.

Maybe you are connecting your ipad to the car audio using the iphone or usb socket or jack socket down in the centre console of many Hyundais. If so the usb and jack will also be compatible with an Android phone.

Not the official 2520th poster!
I'm on Three and I have an iPhone 5. I get 23mbps on 3G in Stafford (Although, strangely, not in the town centre...)
It's £31 a month, and it's unlimited data too.
Could I see a requirement for EE "Fake 4G"** ? No.

**I call it Fake 4G because it is. It's LTE, not 4G. Google it if you don't believe me.
