A Brief History of Time (at the Reynolds Bar)

I had so many fantastic nights out at The Reynolds Bar.

Great memories and good times.

Mind you, there are probably a few nights that I cant remember at all.

I was more of an Attic Bar person - some fine acts up there, Chris Farlowe, Dexy's Midnight Runners, some of the Animals - and many more.

A Forumite haunts the Attic on a daily basis now......

What a great interview. Proper throw back. Still see Dibba today walking his little dog from Eco Motors on the island.

Thursday night was a great night. Had too ring in work sick on many Friday mornings after going there.

Also had a knock on effect, the Wagon and Horses used to be really busy then.

When I lived in Stafford it was a 'two kebab ' walk home. One from The Atlas then a second one from the bottom of Wolverhampton Road.
Only small ones like, I'm not a greedy b*st*rd.

Me too, myself & my best friend were once escorted out after *she threw up all over a bouncer.....good times!

*she's a police officer now....

My first experience of Reynolds was on a Sunday. The guys at Funky World Records (used to be the shop next to Premier Pizza is on North Walls is) started a late afternoon/evening event called "Sunday Best" must have been around 1998 I think?

I remember being slightly inebriated and fell asleep....oops! I remember the bouncer with the curly haired mullet waking me up and telling me to go home......Just of many slightly blurred memories of Reynolds....

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
I seem to have had a good evening with R Cajun and the Zydeco or something similar in there sometime ago

Is there ( like Bingley ) a list of dates and artists?

Kevin Rowland is a distinct cousin

Morrisey used to come to Stafford quite a lot before he was famous . Actually

Reynold's Bar Dogs

Quite cleverly done there, @Tilly
Dragging up a post of mine from 2015, then saying “Reynolds Bar Dogs”

In case anyone is interested, I’m as plain as plain can be now. Grey hair, wrinkles, the works. I’m invisible.

But in the 80’s when I went to Reynolds, I was quite ok looking.

by the way @Tilly , attaching a picture of some politicians to your derogatory comments might fool everyone else, but it doesn’t fool me.
The Reynolds Dogs comments say much more about you as a man than they say about me.

But in the 80’s when I went to Reynolds, I was a little bit lovely.

I wasn't actually referring you in person

It was simply an easy way to use a catchphrase and a photo I found

Just to be clear

As they say on the telly

Lazy

On my part

If you weren’t referring to me in person then why did you go through the motions of searching and finding a post of mine from over 4 years ago?

Then adding a “Reynolds Bar Dogs” comment.

On the contrary, I don’t think it was lazy at all. I think it probably took you some time to find the post and then attach it to me.

It’s fine, it’s absolutely fine.

if someone wants to drag up a post from 4 years ago and call me a dog, (but try and cover their tracks by making it political)

I just want to say this.

When you troll someone, please remember that the person you are trolling is a real person, and posts have consequences.
