I don't know if any of you have done this but 8 of us went today and had such a lovely experience.
A beautiful setting with a lovely canal side view, elegant table arrangements with lovely linen table cloths.
All of us ladies dressed up for the occasion and were greeted by friendly staff who took us to our table.
A very polite knowledgeable waiter then took us through the selection of teas and we made our selection.
The teas were then served individually in our own tea pots (I had lady grey).
Then the three tiered cake stands were bought in with the most divine selection of sandwiches and cakes....(more cake than we could eat actually).
It was just the most lovely afternoon, so civilised and reminiscent of times gone by where everything was so elegant and beautiful.
We just sat and chatted and the staff were quietly helpful, without rushing us thereby totally enhancing our indulgent experience.
As Christmas is approaching I have decided to buy 2 couples I know gift vouchers for afternoon tea.
