Don't waste your time with second-hand. The ink heads are usually dried up from sitting around and they rarely get going again how they need to.

Get yourself a cheap Epson one, around £40, and you'll get bundles of compatible ink off eBay for around £9 for 25 cartridges.

Got one for free if you want to collect. Was going to chuck it out. Only reason is that I won't use it in the new house. Epson office bx300ff (colour). Not used in a while, but we do have some black ink I think for testing. (What wmrcputers said is true aabout ink heads, but... Free.) Rising Brook.
