Alton Towers warning

Don't get me wrong it as a lovley day, but.....

I was totally embarrased by being asked to leave ripsaw because they couldn't fasten the safety harness to their standard because i was too big. Ok fair enough it was a safety issue, but they had no restrictions posted up so how was i to know? But no, i had to be asked to leave infront of a whole ride full of people and the entire queue. I wished the floor would swallow me.

Luckily other rides had seats and harnesses to try out before you join the queue so i was spared further humiliation. I was unable to ride in total;
Air
Rita
Ripsaw
Oh and dissapointingly 13 was broken.
With a near squeak on spinball, bless the attendant practically sat on me so he could fasten the bar to the right standard. This ride did have a height restriction too. Sadly i dreaded the safety harness/bar bit for the rest of the day.

The 'girth' restriction is 51" in the upper body (i'm not that big) but don't take into account height to go with that or 'bum' size.

So a warning for larger lovers of rides, you might not fit as they don't seem to have grasped the concept of 'adjustable' in the rollercoaster design business yet :(

I'm 6'5" and slightly overweight (shut up!), and i've been refused access to rides at Alton in the past. I couldn't fit on the Corkscrew because of my legs, which were also too long to let me on nemesis.

This is the same problem I have when traveling on Virgin Voyagers.
