Another tree gone!

Yeah true, the technical review officer has to do plenty of reporting to people who do the reporting who report to those that report the reports.
Then there's the further investigation reports, then there's the highways reports to determine if it's a tree or not and is or was, or still is but won't be for much longer.

Give them 4 days, then.

The first one looked pretty dead, as at the Google StreetView image dated Aug-14.

The other one looked fine, though.

In defence of whoever manages the trees on Riverway they did recently (ish) plant new Horse Chestnuts (or maybe they are Limes) to replace ones that had previously been felled. Unusual for Stafford to replace mature trees I know!

Great news, a very rare event!

Obviously we'll have to wait and see on this, but I'm truly devastated to read that the Rugby Club want to build new pitches and car parks and all that a Rugby Club needs on my favourite fields in Stafford, behind Blackberry Lane. God knows how much of our wildlife will be decimated including many many mature trees. How can this be justified? Who thinks up these things. This has really upset me, I've walked those fields and enjoyed seeing foxes and rabbits, wildflowers and many wonderful species of birds including birds of prey for the past 30 years. When will the destruction all end :(

Have the vanished hedges on Tixall Rd near the cremo been mentioned? Apart from upsetting the wildlife, why would anyone buying a new house there not want natural shielding?

I insist you write an email (or two or three) to the council and other bodies.

You must have a say, and doing simple things like sending an email is a start!

If someone with more knowledge than me can tell me where to find the information about the plans and how to complain at this late stage (it was deferred by the council this week) then I am quite happy to try and I urge everyone else to do the same. It's important we save every bit of green space we can in this country. Thanks
