Any makeup artists out there?

I'm looking ahead to a fancy dress evening where I will be required to have a fake (old) scar.

I've found this on Ebay which looks like good stuff, but I don't need the blood. Obviously I will need to darken the inner bit to make the scar look old and healed but I'm looking for suggestions on how this can be done?

Google has failed to provide any answers so far.........

I've just primed her, but do so also. Literally 200 yards from you - and her mother is a truly fantastic source of costumes, too..

I like the way the National Blood Service came up in the ads at the side of that eBay listing..
