It's farking shit. Although not as bad as Star Man.

John Carpenter has a habit of making one great movie followed by a cracking piece of shit. A talent.

god yes, "starman" truly was remarkably bad.. and yet the critics loved it - those same critics who had the audacity to universally pan "big trouble in little china", which was farking brilliant!

What the hell was that beach ball with feet all about? I felt compelled to watch it till the end to see if I could work out what the point was. I failed.

In 'Dark Star' that is, not 'Star Man' or 'Big Trouble...'

Like I say, I'm willing to give it a try. It's not even like I saw the start and didn't like it. Just caught a bit in the middle.

Dark Star is a classic. I mean it. A nihilistic nuke - fantastic.

I have it on DVD. In my head it had merged with Silent Running, so a lot seemed to be missing when I watched it for the first time in thirty years. Still good, though, and I must get Silent Running one day.

I'm always prepared to search for quality items. And it's usually spotty little lads of about thirteen who call me Jesus.

Admin - Are we allowed to make death threats? If so, then I'll start a new topic - just can't decide if it should be in Sports and Activities or Entertainment.

You were warned! It was a pre-emptive threat, which is allowed.

It seems as though I have right on my side - or at least the law - but I am prepared to run off with my tail between my legs, just in case. It's still good though.
