Anyone thinking of using Netflix?

@tek-monkey I've just found another downside to the Roku 1 (and I believe Roku 2 as well)... they don't support the latest netflix that supports different profiles, so me and my mate will have to put up with sharing the default profile and seeing what eachother have been watching. No major hardship, but it's another plus point that makes the Roku 3 worth the extra spend maybe.

I'll be honest I don't really know much about Chromecast. I just went with the Roku as it looks extremely simple to navigate, and allows you just to display the "channels" that you want. In my case that will probably be just Netflix and the 4 main UK on demand channels (BBC iPlayer etc)

Chromecast doesn't support as many providers as Roku (no 4od, ITVplayer or 5 on Demand) but what it does support, it does better then the Roku 1 (much faster loading up, better upscaling, and more convenient to choose media on your phone first).

Not too worried now as currently really chuffed with the Roku 1 (now downstairs running Plex and Netflix), and just sideloaded a NowTV box with Plex for upstairs. Top banana!! :)

Have wired it in as had ethernet in the bedroom, streaming 1080p easily and loving the headphone jack. Shame the volume button only works on that and not overall but a minor issue really.
