I popped in here today to have a browse and was really disappointed.

I really thought that it would be a place that well, sold lots of home things. An amalgamation of Next home, Dunelm and BHS home.....like the lovely one in Etruria. I don't know why I thought that but I just did.

As it was, it was just like the Asda in town but more spread out. Lots of clothes, books, cards, cleaning stuff etc.

There was some kitchen and bathroom stuff, a bit of bedding but nothing in there to entice me.

So I shall carry on going to John Lewis in Tamworth for my stuff then.

    Anyone else been in?

I haven't been into the Stafford one yet but I was in the one at Walsall a few weeks ago and found it disappointing - similar to your description. I thought it would have curtain, blinds and bedding etc

Thought it was disappointing, expected a better electrical section but it's not much different from the store at Queensway.

And they aren't displaying prices in the shop window!!!!! :heyhey:

Don't suppose anyone noticed whether they do maternity clothes there?

Mrs Stafford Beast purchased an umbrella.
I reckon over time, all the George / Home & Leisure from the Queensway store will be moved over to the Home store, with more room for food, especially as more houses are built in the town.

Same here, I was expecting fun housey things, bedding, curtains, bathroom stuff like next home etc

Asda's always good value so I was looking forward to seeing what they had to offer!

But the entire top half was mostly taken up with kids stuff (I dont have children thus think it’s a waste of space) and the selection was really small. They already have loads of clothes at the other store, so seems a bit silly.

Considering I got my king size bed for a bargain from them I thought they would have used the space better.

Hi yes I was disappointed too, just like asda without the groceries, no trolleys and one lady said she would have liked some seating available, don't know if there was a lift there either x

They've got quite a good selection, it's on the top floor though, not with the rest of the womens clothes.

I didn't notice a lift but I thought it was a legal requirement to provide disabled access - so there probably is one around somewhere.

Fairly sure I noticed a lift at the very back of the store, hidden away in a sort of alcove. I was disappointed with the store too although there was a better selection of childrens clothes....

Went yesterday and was disappointed also. Thought there would've been more choice. Definitely smaller than the Walsall one.

I've just had quite a substantial Asda catalogue through the door. 240+ pages.

The lift is right at the back of the store. The toilets are upstairs at the back of the store hidden away behind the kiddies clothes. No use following the toilet signs , they point to the store room !
Must say Asda have got a few impulse purhases from me as I've popped in to use the loo. (It is actually quite a bit cheaper than poundstretcher on some items)
