BA to Serve Only Halal Meat!

Just read into this in a little more detail and it appears that BA's supplier is seriously considering changing all meals to Halal to save money.
That will teach me to believe all I read in the tabloid press!

Always be careful of the Daily Mail. BA has apparently said that it has no plans to change the current arrangements, but, then, it might not be up to them in the end..

I understand that the EU is bringing in legislation over the next few years to make it compulsory to label halal and kosher meat and meat-products, as there is a lot more of it about than people might imagine..

At least non-Halal slaughtered animals are unconscious when they are killed the poor animals in the video are fully conscious even when strung up by one leg !

At least the cruelty in Colin's video's are illegal, the cruelty shown in my link is legal in this country!

There are 17 schools in Stoke that serve Halal meat and not all of them have many Muslim pupils.

There was a recent story in the Eye about this was there not.

Apparently the fore quarters are favoured overwhelmingly to the rear quarters of halal and kosher slaughtered animals which then find there way into foodstuffs without any need to label how the animal was slaughtered.

We agree on something!

I agree with the majority of the video that any cruelty to animals is wrong although some of the video is out of date or wrong, for instance it's illegal to keep pigs in crates in this country now.

As I have stated before I am not religious in any way and do not 'hate' any religion, in fact I can honestly say I do not hate anyone!

PS I am not too keen on Man Utd though!

to be fair to hetairoi, i do think he sometimes gets tarred with the wrong brush.. it seems to me that he likes to object to a lot of things (bear with me hetairoi, i'm actually sticking up for you here lol) - what i refer to as a "serial protestor".. it just so happens that some of these things have parity with some of the BNP's views..

so some of his posts on here make it sound like thinly veiled attacks on brown people.. in reality, i suspect he just disagrees with a lot of things, but it's only the racial/religious ones that get picked up on because they're such hot potatoes at the moment! i don't think he is actually one of them there racialists..

Thanks db for that you really made sit back and think why I moan and complain so much!

I came to the conclusion that it is because I am of an age when everyone was protesting, students protesting about the Vietnam War etc and the unions about wages, conditions etc.

We all had the protest beaten out of us by that evil woman Thatcher and replaced with the greedy me, me, me materialistic ethos.

Sorry but old habits die hard if there is something I don't like or don't agree with then I am going to shout about it, whether or not anyone listens or not is another matter.

As for the BNP I have read their manifesto and there are a lot of things I agree with, there are also things I disagree with which is a bit like every manifesto I read!

You are right I am not a racsist because I don't hate anyone and my understanding of the term is that a racsist hates someone just because of the colour of his skin.
