its only just happening, police and ambulance whizzed past me just after 6pm so I am assuming that's where they were going and a friend has just text and told me what's happening, no more news though :(

I have just done the very same thing (even clicked the link to bring me here) - strange that there should be no 'latest'.

Word on the street is the mum had left 3 month and 18 month old in car in the car park - she proceeded to carry out a shoplifting spree in the CO-op / Peacocks and was caught red handed. Police were called and she was taken away - however forgot to mention that she had kids locked in her car. Kids were found later on in the day and were taken straight to hospital by ambulance suffering with dehydration.

Again this is complete rumour and may well be about 10% true.

Ok, I know what happened her on Wed. A women was arrested for shoplifting in the coop, then when taken away by the police she declined to mention her toddler and baby sitting in the car waiting for her! The poor things were sitting for hours before someone realised they had been abadoned! Really shocking that someone cud leave two very young kids like that...

If its the same women my friend, who works at the coop told me about, she was caught trying to steal £20 of meat joints, badly aswell!
Hope that answers some questions :)

The Police wouldn't have arrested her at the time if she had told them she was in charge of 2 your children. Its a worry for those of us that leave our kids with child minders.

Gosh that really is shocking. Those poor kids, I just can't understand how anyone could do that.

I've seen quite a few really young kids left in cars in that car-park. One couple even got out of the car and left the engine running, with 2 kids left inside the car on their own ,while they went inside the shop a few weeks ago.

I would no more leave the spaniels in the car while I went into a supermarket, than fly to the moon. Neither will I leave them tied-up outside somewhere while I shop because I am convinced that someone would steal them. Although, logically, it is unlikely that anyone else would want such muddy dogs. I did once leave them with my stepson, standing outside the bank. They howled the place down and my stepson was furious because someone had recognised my spaniels and demanded to know what he was doing to them.

My two year old daughter was one of the children in the car - they were being looked after by their childminder. The childminder has been suspended and is currently on police bail pending further investigations. Both children are safe and well, completely disgusted that my child was left unattended for this amount of time.
