you would be wrong in that assumption mr marwood, that would imply that i had a passanger, and sorry for the spelling corporation street was the place then he turned off down towards the old measuremants site.
the other bit was if anyone was going to have a guess at what type of blokey was driving the said pocket rocket. was it a chav? balding middle aged man in a mid life crissis? grandpa? ill let you have a guess.

My initial ( other lindustrial laundries are available ) assumption was that you were a pedestrain ( corr)

I now feel you may have paid a little too much attention to one vehicle at the expense of other road users ( waves fist )

That sir is your opinion and therefore are entitled to it, but I neither wear a Burberry baseball cap or use my mobile telecommunication unit whilst in control of a motor vehicle.
Where as ........

Sir

You are either a freak of nature or...

Did you happen to notice what colour eyes he had? And was he left right handed with a lisp?

Presumably the latter, as an R32 is a group 437 car so assuming it was insured, then a chav would be well out of the question. I think a golf 1.4 with an exhaust from a jet engine and -50mm lowering springs is the more likely option for them.

Edit: Scratch that, it's £200 a year more than my ford focus 1.6. Insurance; more confusing than a con dem policy meeting

Assume that every other driver on the road is either stupid, blind, a maniac, or all three.
A friend of mine was hit from behind in his almost new Golf GTI at almost the same place, near what was then the fire station, in the 80s. The coppers arrived and knew the other driver from previous events of a similar nature and confidently predicted that he wouldn't be insured as "He is registered blind" - and so it turned out to be...

My friend was going round the second roundabout at wolseley brideg around a year ago and someone just didnt see him and pulled out on him. His little Aygo managed to flip their car (cant remember what it was but it was a fairly small car - bigger than the aygo though!) They wouldnt have been going very fast as he was going round the small roundabout and they had been slowing down - but for whatever reason didnt see him and carried on going. the road was closed for most fo the day and it was reported on a lot of traffic news because it's the main road between stafford and rugeley. Both people were able to walk away from the crash but it doesnt take much to flip a car!

Glad to hear the people all came out of this safely! I was at the roundabout at about 6:45 and the lights were out but I was coming from queensway onto lammascote and didnt see a thing. Just thought there was a power cut or something.

Traffic was flowing very nicely though! - although it was a bit difficult to see from the stop line at the queensway junction because of the barrier, edging forward to see felt a bit cheeky but what else could you do?

Your right, doesn't take much to flip a car over. Back in June we were in a minibus hit side on by a small escort van, we were tipped over. It is very easily done.

Come to think about it, I have got a pic, will post it when I get home.

I drove back from Rugeley to Stafford the other night following a Blue Ford Focus... not sure if the bloke was pissed or on the mobile but was weaving all over the road, almost into oncoming traffic 3 times and almost off the road a couple more.

Would have called the police but didn't want to use my phone whilst driving.

Did you call them when you reached your destination?

Would have done but had forgotten the full registration.... didn't think "A blue original shape Ford Focus reg starting something like X876" would have been taken too seriously.

You are allowed to use your phone to report emergencies and a dangerous driver is one that should always be called in asap.

When you can use a hand-held phone in your vehicle

You should only use your mobile phone in a vehicle if you:
•need to call 999 or 112 in response to a genuine emergency where it's unsafe or impracticable to stop
•are safely parked (but never stop on the hard shoulder of the motorway unless it’s an emergency)
•are a passenger
Might be a grey area.....
