Is Roma closing down?....drove past this morning & saw 2 large posters that I think said Closing Down :( Keep meaning to go in, but I never get round to it....

Yes, she is - on the 28th of this month. I went in last week and she didn't seem at all well so am assuming that may have something to do with it.

I remember my Mum taking me in Roma as a kid - a search reveals it was setup in 1974 - there can't be many other shops that have been in Stafford that long!

< very similar to this.

I didn't really need it, but, for twenty quid, I just couldn't leave it there - even though a note said 'Needs Some Work'.

I've just done an hours work on it and it's going beautifully. I just need to re-attach some trim on the door and it's finished.

Just purchased 20x 150g bags of doritos and 8 jars of doritos hot salsa for £7 :munch:

If you are quick there are still a few left in Sainsburys, its the 150g bags and also sensations, but the shelves were pretty much bare when I went in. Helping do the buffet for a wedding in a weeks time so that helped a lot!

WTF... is this a legitimate offer or a misprice?

Was there much left when you visited? Might be worth a stroll down there but its a hassle if they have none and i've paid a £1 for parking.

Legitimate offer, they changed pack size so are ditching the old. Am in Birmingham at the min but will drop by if I remember on the way home.

I've decided to be organised with the Christmas shopping this year, so have devised a spreadsheet.

There are some amazing sales on at the moment especial for kids toys (kids are about 75% of my 'to buy for' list) to this point I have spent £135 on items with RRP's totaling £328. So far saving almost £200.

It's amazing what a bit of planning and shopping around can get you, and that saving isn't including cashback and reward card points.

Lots of sauces 20p in Sainsburys. Mainly things like Jack Daniels hot BBQ sauce, steak sauces etc. Also mayonaise, crispy onions, some nice looking salad dressings, all down from £1.50 - £2.50ish to 20p. Was quite a lot there, but people were also buying it at a fair pace....
