Err, I'm probably being dense but I don't know about a connection with Wendy and The Beatles.

In our village either Caroline or Debs are the Egg Ladies.

We just pop along and collect our eggs and leave our money in the honesty box.

Probably barking up the wrong tree, but would it be a reference to 'Miss Wendy Winters' (Mandy Weet) who plays the courier in 'The Magical Mystery Tour ?

    Sadly, no.

The lady in the village that makes the unusual foodie type items is away for the weekend.

I'll will just be the usual food then, you know, food that people like?

Last year I played golf against a lady who had an egg farm in Bednall. I may play golf against her again on Sunday.

Yes and all the leftover buttercream has gone into Tupperware pots and into the freezer for the next time I bake.

Lovely to meet you too, delighted to put a face to the name.
Thanks for coming, I really appreciate it.
@Noah popped in with Mrs Noah and we had a nice chat.

Yes it went very well. £478 raised for church funds, not bad for a mornings work.
People seemed to enjoy it so we may do another one in a few months time.

Thanks to everyone that donated books and to those that came along.

As well as hundreds of books we'll have Bacon Baps, gorgeous home made cakes courtesy of the village ladies and tea/coffee.

The last booksale went down really well, everyone enjoyed it hence we're doing another one due to popular demand.

If anyone has any books they'd like to donate it would be much appreciated. :)

That's a section that I haven't heard of before - does it come between Chick Lit and Mills & Boon?

I obtained a nice cup of tea and a bacon bap, plus a Life of Brian DVD...

..and a jigsaw that may well include a representation of me - we lived behind the willow tree on the right*.

Lovely to see you today @Gramaisc

We raised a total of £435 for church funds, not bad for a mornings work.
