Copied from the Little Robin Art website:
"Whether you are an absolute beginner or an amateur artist looking to improve, Little Robin beginners art classes are a great way to gain confidence in producing beautiful pieces of artwork.

The classes are taught by professional artist Chloe Robinson who has a vast knowledge of all types of media.

A wide range of media are used on a rotating basis, including watercolours, coloured pencils, pastels and oils on a selection of different subjects – including the occasional special guests to draw from!

But not only is it an art class, it’s a fantastic way of meeting like minded people and have a relaxing evening whilst learning new tips and techniques. I would encourage anyone who is interested to come and have a go. It is the best way of finding out if you will enjoy it!

  • Beginners art classes are held at Hobbycraft Stafford, Queensville Retail Park. They are hosted by Little Robin Art and are not connected with Hobbycraft.
  • You will be allocated into a fortnightly group, of no more than 8 people.
  • Classes are between 5-7.30pm, although if you need to arrive slightly later or leave earlier due to commitments that is no problem.
  • Cost is £10 per session – which includes all tuition and materials. Tea/Coffee is provided free of charge.
Pre-booking is required to ensure a place is available for you. Beginners classes are for adults only."

I expect this is a good way to meet new people, I've seen these classes advertised and I really hope they take off, it's very difficult getting something like this off the ground and to keep it running for a long time, stafford folk are lucky to have access to this, although I wonder if there are day classes for pensioners to access, as I imagine that village and church halls maybe an area that could be looked at, also in some of the local libraries there are local craft groups run by members of the public that are quite popular.

They've been running successfully for roughly 15-18 months - it's just that as with everything some people move on and/or circumstances change and now a couple of spaces have become available.

No plans in the short term for day time classes, but I know Chloe has given it consideration in the past....
