Bins!

Green bins tomorrow (Saturday), at least in the Weeping Cross / Baswich area, due to the bank holiday Monday.

We've just come back from Looe (Cornwall). We stayed in a little house near the sea front. Most of those cottages seem to be holiday lets now, rather than residential homes, and there was a weekly bin collection with no requirement to separate recycling. I suppose when people are only staying for a week it would be difficult to enforce any restrictions on garbage collection.

Bins!!! Blue and brown ones being collected tomorrow (Sat) morning instead of Monday, in the Baswich area. Because of something happening next week.
Bloody foreign religious interference into our bin schedule, should be banned! Coming over here with their stupid bloody middle eastern mumbo jumbo, virgins sprogging and peace to all men unless they look a bit funny. Bastards!

I'd read that because of the back log brown bin collection is postponed till January's collection now.

I believe that the contract changes at the end of January - the current bin calendar ends then - anything could happen after that.

The calendar does assure us that a new schedule will be published before then.

Perhaps the three wise men could do this week's collections to give the hard working Council boys some time off :)

Sorry but apart from Mohawk Pete, I don't know any council employees who could ever be remotely described as hard working.

The hard working people who collect our bins do not work for the council.

We had our brown bin emptied on the snowy day when the blue ones weren't emptied.

The brown bin lorry came down our road today as well, but weren't many left out for them .

Our brown bin got missed when it snowed, and when I phoned up to ask about it, they told me they would not be collecting it till the next scheduled day (today). So we didn't have to wait long, but I could have done without missing a collection, as we've got a backlog of garden rubbish.
