I think the Rose did such a good job expectations were high. And not met

As a visitor to The Wellington in Birmingham I knew their choice of interior decor was chintzy - pretty awful to be fair considering how other bars have moved into the 1990s recently. ...

Expect more of the same

However. It's opening . Major bonus .

In the absence of The Railway Hotel, Eagle, Stafford Arms and Nag's Head it will hopefully be a useful water stop for rail commuters

I go to the lych gate and they did a lovely job of that, I do hope they make a nice job of the beer garden, decent beer gardens are sadly minimal in town.

Any day goes when it comes to a pub opening?

Monday seems better, nice few days to tweak problems before a decent weekend?

I have never ran or owned a puboozer, so.

Just popped in, looking good. Glad to see the snug was retained, original bars (although not bar tops). Seems a little more open, could just be the glass screen between the corridor and rear bar. The back section is now a function room with its own bar, the astroturf area is for users of the function room (assuming its being hired that day, otherwise it can be used).

I shall pop back later when I can have a proper drink!

Can anyone see the photos? Don't have much luck with google....
