Got to drop son off at the airport in the early hours and want to go inside to see him off, so not just a kick him out of the car in the 10 minutes for a £1 drop & go carpark ....

Can anyone one tell me what the procedure is for turning up at the short stay car parks 2 & 3 ? Do you get a token when driving in and pay at a machine inside the airport or carpark ?

I think it's the same as Stafford multistory, Broad St, you get a ticket, at barrier, on entry and then pay at one of the machine's on way out.

@staffordjas

There is somewhere else nearer than car park 2 and 3.

It directly opposite where you come out of arrivals.

We were picked up there last week and its the car park before 2 and 3. (oposite the hotel)

Its not cheap, I dont think, but for dropping off the boy child it might be worth the extra poundage.

Thanks, I see that will be £2 if we park for up to 20 minutes so looks like we will be doing that. I was going to park on the short stay for an hour, pay the £4.50 and see son off through security , but hubby has other ideas:grr:.....insists on coming home before he goes to work , so we aren't hanging around ! :blah: Might as well have stuck to the original plan of me driving on my own to the airport :angry:

Yes, parked on the short stay and nice and easy. Got the ticket at entrance barrier and the pay machine was only a few feet away. Expensive at £4.50 for the half an hour or so, but it was nice to walk to the desk with him to drop his case off and wave him off up the escalator.
