Iraq. Obvious really.
The ongoing police investigation.
Cool Britannia - whatever happened to that?
All the gaffes, fuckups and blind idiocy that Cherie has been responsible for.
If I carry on, I won't get any work done, so I'll leave it there. :)

Dirty Bobby, politics??

Where did you copy and past that from? :teef:

Saw his speech on the news. Seemed about as sincere as it gets for Tone. Even offered an apology for invading Iraq. I'm sure he now, like most people, wishes we had gone nowhere near it. It's done now so it will be up to Gordon to try and sort the mess out!

He has on the other hand left a strong economy and done good work for the Northern Ireland peace issue and also pushed the G8 summits pretty hard.

Not all bad I reckon.

blair has to be very care full on how much credit he tries to take for northern Ireland, John major had done almost all the leg work there in late 1996 and early 1997.

IIRC, Major (who's a knight now, I believe) organised a weapons amnesty in Northern Ireland before 1997.

Mind you, I only remember this because I remember the Spitting Image sketch with Michael Howard, the then-Home Sec (whatever happened to him? :) ), in which he was saying, "Yes, we'll sell the knives that were handed in in the recent amnesty - anyone asking for a gun, say they'll be available as soon as the IRA oblige."
