Bowling alley

Does anyone know if there is a bowlng alley that can be hired for the evening? Don't mean like the 10pin bowling alley but more a single lane more private to do. We've found one in brewood but it appears you have to commit to a Buffett which was more expensive than wanted and were hoping to have a family meal back at the house after.

The Coach and Horses on the A51 used to hire two portable alleys out - but it's been Anson House nursing home for many years now.

I wonder if @dirtboxin has any local knowledge of where they went?

More than likley it went into a skip as did much of everything that was removed at that time. Even upto a couple of years ago when anson house where doing refurbs of rooms all the furniture was removed and replaced with new and the old stuff given to me instead of skipping it and i would break it up for my rayburn.

It's £40 hire of the alley but if you opt for the buffet the cost is per head depending on buffet option. Options are :-

three buffet options,
Buffet 1 -£6.95
Selection of sandwiches, breaded chicken nuggets, sausage rolls, chips, selection of pizzas, bread crumb scampi
Buffet 2 - £8.50
Roasted chicken drumsticks, selection of sandwiches, veggie samosas, mini pork pies, chips, sausage rolls, selection of pizzas, prawn fritters
Buffet 3 - £9.10
Selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, veggie samosas, roasted chicken drumsticks, mini honey and sesame sausages, prawn fritters, selection of pizzas, chips, mini pork pies.

I don't know if or what the limit of people would be. We were looking at about 23.
