Government statistics show that electricity causes more than 20,000 fires a year - almost half of all accidental UK house fires. Each year, about 70 people are killed and 350,000 are seriously injured due to an electrical accident in the home.
Electricity is part of our lives. We use it from the moment we wake up (switch on lights or boil the kettle), through the day (the radio, TV, computer or vacuum cleaner) and while we sleep (alarms and electric blankets). As a result, we sometimes forget how powerful and dangerous electricity can be.
So I’m offering all Forumites a Visual Electrical Safety Inspection of your home or small business (shop /office / workshop) (This is the like the electrical equivalent of your yearly gas boiler inspection).
And Inspection and Testing of up to10 Electrical Appliances also called PAT tests.
All work will be carried out to current BS7671 Regulations and Certificates issued.
My normal charge for the Visual inspection is £75 and £1.50 per PAT test.
British Gas will charge you £95 and only carry out 5 PAT tests
