    The cops say:-

The defibrillator on Sawpit Lane Brocton has been stolen sometime between 16th October and 19th October. These are valuable life saving devices funded by the community. Anyone with information should contact 101 ref 271 of 19/10/20202

No but in the wrong hands it is an effective heart stopper, which I think is more to the point in this case.

Assume they’re running off with just the small case with the defib’ in - not the entire cabinet. All they have to do is call the emergency number whereupon you get a code to unlock the cabinet and voila.

Although I would be prepared to put the pads over each ear ... purely for experimental purposes ...

But what are they stealing them for? The component parts?

There is, allegedly, an export black market for them - they are stolen in rather larger numbers than I imagined.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-kent-49879334 - etc.

I wonder if the Brexit chaos will reduce the thefts for a while?
