Can anybody recommend a good sports physiotherapist in Stafford and does anybody know how much they charge for an initial consultation? Also, do any of them open on a Saturday? I visited two on Saturday (Newport Rd & Mill Bank) and they were both closed.

Thank you.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I will check them out and report back.

Gilbert Grape - i'm having pain in both of my knee caps. It's a constant pain and doesn't appear to be getting any better.

Knees are rubbish joints - one of the best pieces of evidence against the theory of 'intelligent design'.

We're still finding new bits, apparently - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-24826323 .

Those images look awful! I hope my knees look better than that...

Gramsaic, your right knees are rubbish, especially mine. It's not looking good, i'm only 32 years of age. I'm doomed.

Indeed, my right knee is a bit rubbish at the moment.

I suffered particularly with my right knee for years and was commiserating with a friend who was having similar trouble, when I suddenly realised that it had been no trouble for some time. In fact, I had ten/twelve years with no issues from it - after I fell off a motorbike and whacked it off the road. It stiffened up completely solid and I started cycling again to run it back in - and didn't notice that it was actually much better afterwards. I suspect that this treatment is not available on the NHS.

Gramaisc, if I got a motorbike it would be more than just my knees that I would damage. However, I think you may have made a medical discovery for those that are capable enough to ride a motorbike (its beyond my capabilities). Go and spread your healing hands....

We could do a small clinical trial. I am prepared to throw you off a moving bus with my healing hands.

I might see you at the match tomorrow. By all means come and ask me about my treatment.

Hopefully I will be at the game tomorrow, however, I don't know who are. Should I look out for a man that has a dodgy limp like me.
