Are the Car boots still going? When do they normally stop for the year at the common?
The Common sale is still going strong. It will run up towards Christmas, but can fade away early if there's a string of wet Sunday mornings.

There was still a large amount of vendors today but all I got was a Stanley window scraper for 20p, a reasonable view of the end of the fight and a shock when a chap wanted £50 for something that was about £25 new....

All I got today was a brass rose for a quid.

There was an enormous selection of cranial protection available from many of the vendors today.

Oh, and there was a Panda spiked carving dish ( see item 1 here ) - so I presume that basil hadn't been there before me...

Called in at the Chirk one en route back from Wales yesterday. A truly amazing boot sale. Serious variety, a trombone, a yaks head, a microlight, new tools, old tools, a Hungarian fast food van. Took over two hours to get round, shame the small on-site aviation museum wasn't open this week though.

My first attendance for three weeks and it's clearly dropping off for the winter now. Nothing at all of any interest to me, although there was another spear-gun.

Dropped in at a small boot in Quorn, Leicestershire. Nice 10-15 minute walk around and then back to the car. =)

Managed to pick up a nice childrens Annual for £2 though so wasn't a completely wasted trip.

I officially cannot go back to the booty after another tat mission the other week...
A pac man game (of the board variety) and a gold sadler teapot....

One mans treasure is his wifes 'tat' apparently

Women are just not capable of understanding such a complicated notion as the usefulness of something. See if you can get one to explain jewelry or 'ornaments' to you...

Not just usefulness but you never know when you might need it syndrome.

I ventured for a quick walk around, although was quite late (11am) by the time I got there.

Nothing on show for me - sun warm enough to feel on my back was pleasant though.
