I found a set of chrome wing mirror covers for my van (as shown in my avatar). The drivers side one I've got on is damaged and a replacement at £2 was a bargin. Also got a cleaver and dog lead screw spike.

I only came away with a fence post for £2, but it did at least allow me to finish my latest garden project without waiting until simmons is open again on Tuesday. On another note though I spent a good couple of hours looking out for a coal starter chimney (for my summer hog roast) as I was convinced they no longer make them. I didn't find one despite my best efforts, and then discovered them at Wilkinsons later in the afternoon for just a tenner :) How happy I was

Terrible at Eccleshall. At least half the size it usually is. Lots of traders appear to have given it a miss today too. Even the usual "middle" part was empty.

Went back via Stafford. Of the probably 15-20 stalls there, nothing caught the eye.

Wasted morning!

Not much of interest on the Common, I'll agree, but where else would you be able to get a leg-iron, if you needed one today?

highlight of the boot sale today was the the guy in a small yellow car who got his car stuck nose first in a large muddy puddle, and then about an hour later, a guy in a mondeo got stuck in the same puddle..

Nothing for me today, except two wood saw blades for a Stanley knife, for 10p each.

I feel sure that there were enough cine cameras avaialable to form the start of quite a respectable museum.

Huge today, but mostly junk. I did get a lady's copper watering can for £3.
