I got some baby sweetcorn aswell. Be sure you plant them in a block rather than line as they're wind pollinated and you increase your pollination odds that way.

I didn't have a lot of time this morning as I had to be elsewhere by tennish, I found nothing - the more there is the less there is.

Errr, bugger! May transplant them later, although running out of space. Noticed the courgette had flowered this morning, and some tomatoes are growing on. So well in fact that I can hardly get into greenhouse! Gonna move a few outside I think.

Almost one o'clock when we got there and most sellers must have gone. One chap was selling a large bucket of homemade electric exstention leads. I enquired if the were compliant with the latest safety legislation. He smiled and said 'probably not mate' I advised him that 1; They were illegal to sell. 3; That if they were offered for sale again next week i would have to inform the relevant enforcing authority 2; I was most certainly not his mate......

The 'relevant enforcing authorities' don't seem to get up early on a Sunday very often. There are frequently enforcement opportunities there aplenty.

Oh they do. Cept they are a few miles down the road enforcing the pirate DVDs/CDs.

Sometimes the law is just there to be irritating it feels, however when it comes to electrical devices, particularly those which transport domestic mains electricity it is clearly there to protect you. That bloke must be very confident in his wiring abilities, and if we're honest I can't imagine its that difficult to wire a plug onto one end of a piece of wire and a socket on the other, but surely it must play on his conscience... "what if?". It seems a risky and foolish way to make a quick buck to me.

Boot sale was big again today, but all I spent was 50p on a Scotchbrite wheel - bargain. The special promotion this week seemed to be oars and paddles - there were a great many to choose from, both made from wood and various synthetic materials.

Hopefully the exstention lead man saw fit not to offer his life threatening wares.....

Another huge boot sale - and not a single thing of any interest to me. This week's special promotion seemed to be rigid suitcases.

I got there late, but purchased a flat reel hose for £3 which wasn't too bad. Otherwise was sod all, but at least it got me some fresh air.

Interesting to see reps of the local authority out in force as well as some of the local plod in their 't' shirts and shorts. I think they're onto something, and it's not just some scroggy benefit cheats....

Really? I saw none of this excitement.

Decent sized boot sale this morning - considering the potential for inclemency. This week's special was a life jacket for a dog, large size, e.g. rottweiller, it said. Otherwise, nothing to report, although I did get a rather nice glass wasp-trap for 50p - and, yes, I know empty jam jars are free, but they are both less decorative and less effective, I like to think.

Perhaps it's a bit too technical for you. I will attempt to explain later. I may even let you see it - if you arrive on time!

Didn't you do an exchange to Germany? What was the point of that then?
