Carpenter needed

Can anyone assist with this? I have two bedside cabinets about 12" wide by 16" deep made either MDF or chipboard and need about half an inch taking off the bottoms. Had them fitted as part of a headboard before having new carpets, the thickness of the carpet now prevents me from sliding them under the headboard.
Can drop them off and collect, any takers?

How timely, I was just thinking about re-tiling my bathroom and was stuck between the old 'do it myself / get someone in to do it' quandry.

Do you mind if I ask details on the cost to tile your kitchen i.e. how much was it, what area and was it fresh wall or old off and new on....?
