Copied and pasted from Rugeley Cats Society

I was contacted last night by one of my friends, this poor cat was left in a carrier and brought to her in Great Wyrley after being found in an alley way in Stafford. He was wearing a black collar. She took him to Pool House Vets in Lichfield.
He may have been abandoned but he may also have been stolen. Please share in case someone is looking for him

Why are people who harm animals still breathing

Because, like most things in this country, soggy spineless do-gooders have effectively made most abhorrent things not a crime any more. Kick a dog to death? Have a suspended sentence and a 3 week ban from keeping one. Neglect your pet so that they starve to death? Have a stern letting off.

And then the same do-gooders campaign for shorter sentencing, better condition in prisons and legal aid for scrotes.

We have a world leading campaign against speeding though, so the animals can go to hell tbh.....

I dunno, that tosser this week who got 4 years for killing someone in a hit and run whilst speeding then telling everyone he hit a deer seems to have got off very lightly indeed. He got a 5 year ban too but that means only 1 year really cos he'll be inside for the other 4.

Also on the legal aid front, as I've said many a time before I don't trust our legal system enough not to give help to everyone that can't afford it.

Oh no , poor little thing :( So glad someone found him and your friend took him to Pool House Vets.

On Rugeley Cats Society page it's saying he was found by Vauxhall garage, Stafford. (But on Pool House Vets page it's saying found in Old Hall lane great Wyrley?)

Long shot, but someone lost a black cat from Cannock Rd in Brocton sometime last year.It was on a facebook page as well as signs up on lampposts by houses near to the garage and months after they were still saying there was no sign of it. (Think it said that one had a big bushy tail)

Yes, I also saw the post saying he was found in Great Wyrley ....

...such a shame, I can only think that the owners know he's poorly & can't afford the vets treatment - which is why they've left him (safely) in his carrier where they know someone will find him & possibly look after him.

I do hope someone can help him.

That'll be the Nhs soon I hear more and more how people say how they've been told to get it done private if they can afford it because it'll be quicker

It gets even worse than that! There are much more abhorrent things that receive even better treatment! Engage in the wholesale torture of animals for the sake of a tasty dinner and nobody bats an eye, even worse: you're considered normal! I completely agree with you, what sort of state is this country in if we so regularly expose living beings to such pain and anguish and nobody cares? I'm really glad there are people in Stafford willing to speak out against this.

A person who eats meat regularly is responsible for just as much pain and anguish as someone who kicks a dog to death, did you know that pigs are as smart as (or maybe even smarter than) dogs? What's the real difference between kicking a dog to death, and buying so much bacon over the years that dozens of pigs have been slaughtered on the consumers behalf.

We definitely live in a country of soggy and spineless people if the majority are comfortable with the level of torture experienced by livestock, but the moment a pet is hurt they're up in arms and calling for long term prison sentences. That said you seem to care about animals so I'm going to assume you're a vegan or at the very least make efforts to seriously reduce your consumption of animal products and my post isn't addressed to you personally, but instead addressed to those suffering from severe cognitive dissonance on the topic of animal welfare ;)

Aah, once again your tolerant, balanced and thoughtful input has arrived. "Spineless Do-gooders" so now even those amongst our society who are not "Do-badders" are fair game for your vitriolic wrath......

Just heart braking. I also saw on the West Midlands police FB page someone had broken into a house and repeatedly kicked a little dog in the head leaving it with horrific injuries. The dog belonged to a 15 year old girl, the mom is trying to raise funds to cover the poor things vet bills.
I just cant imagine why or how anyone could do such a cruel act

I blame it all on the meat-eating, murdering majority. That way I can spend my life feeling morally superior to most people.

Hey, here's an idea, why don't you think about the superiority you believe meat-eaters hold over the animals they subject to unnecessary pain and anguish and misery and suffering to before talking about supposed feelings of moral superiority.

Fair point, so I'm not going to argue.

Instead I shall think about the gammon steak I'm about to tuck into in five minutes and the roast beef I shall be eating at The Wayfarer tomorrow lunchtime. :)
