Hi all

Just to confirm to all those persons/parties who have booked any function or Xmas party with us and who have paid deposits for the same, that
the Norman and I are to reimburse all monies to those concerned. We will start to contact people personally next week to arrange the return of funds

We would apologise for having to cancel any party booked with us and we hope that you are able to re-book elsewhere

That's great to hear, does this mean you will also be paying the staff the money you owe them for the hours they put in up until closure?

I'm really sad to see this place go. I feel so sorry for all the staff who worked there who were always lovely. I used to come in quite often and even went there today for a carvery to discover it had gone. :( I wish everyone there well and really hope you find another job soon. Many thanks to the staff to always making me and my family welcome xxxxx

Bulldoze the entire town, build the worlds largest Carphone Warehouse, with a Costa Coffee inside it. Isn't that how development in Stafford works anyway? Everybody knows there aren't enough mobile phone or coffee shops here.....

I think Stafford town planning is on the way up, when someone opened a 'stuff you can't afford' shop* someone round the corner immediately opened a 'You can't afford your stuff' shop**. Perfect.

....I hope you're true to word.....am gutted that you guys actually let me pay my £125 deposit for Xmas day on 22nd Oct & closed on 23rd!

On the brighter side - I must give credit where credit is due - fair play to you for registering here and facing your critics! Personally I always found the staff, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere to be spot on.... & will be the first to come on here and sing your praises some more if you do as you say!

Wow, I had no idea. I was going to meet a friend after work the other day but it was closed but I thought nothing of it.

This is pretty disappointing- although the prices were marginally more expensive than some of the other places in Stafford, it was still a decent place to go for a pint and some grub. The menu, towards the end, became pretty rubbish, which is a shame as it put me off going. I spent last Christmas Eve in there, and would probably have done the same again this year.

All the staff were sound, and should apply for the Poste House.

Sad that its going to sit empty for so long.
