Cheap date

I'm going to be enjoying a rendez-vous with a very nice young lady this friday evening, and am planning on taking her to dinner. Can anyone recommend somewhere local (can travel reasonably) which would be nice for such an occasion? It's worth noting that she is one of these vegetarian types.
Wetherspoons has quite a good range of veggie food, as long as Heidi Pie is on the menu I'd consider The Pie and Ale House or just go to your favourite Indian restaurant (assuming she likes curry).

The Warehouse in Birmingham does very nice food (I don't know about prices, I wasn't paying) and it's not too formal (bit of a cafe feel), it's a 5-10 minute walk from New Street Station - last train back is about 11pm (before that, I think) and it's £9.10 for a return but if you book in advance you can get it cheaper.

Alternatively, I'm having my housewarming 2-10pm each day this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and it will definitely be all veggie, non-formal and cheap!

Goldilox/Wormella would be a good bet for answering questions about veggie eating establishments in Stafford/Stone
Yes, Yes we are (I should qualify I'm not a Veggie, and the lovely Goldilox does eat fish sometimes)

As LunarScropion noted The Warehouse Cafe in Brum is properly nice

In Stafford - a run down of places:

Pie & Ale is a little limited for veggies.

The Sun doesn't always have anything inspiring veggie on (and it's veggie pie of the day is a lie)

The Bear Grill's veggie burgers are very nice - often stacks of veg as opposed to weird frozen food

The Bank House has a good range of casual food as does No 15 and Pete's Pan's in pretty good to for a snack.

Chambers usually has a good range of food, and changes often, which is nice - and it's a lovely places

The Soup Kitchen has a good range of stuff too, and always jolly and busy.

Any of the Curry places are top notch (obviously baring usual discussion on curry places)

The Royal Bangkok Thai Place has a good range on it's menu, and is nice and cosy (and delightfully retro)

Vivare on the Stone Road is awesome too - lovely pizzas (and there's always pizza express) - but book head for both of these.

Golden Orient is limited for veggies and it usually boils down to yellow food (onion rings, chips etc) or uninspiring vegetables in a variety of sauces

I've only been to have food once in Stone, and that was at Pasta di Piazza, and I didn't feel it was worth trapsing to Stone for.
