Christmas 2020

Not wanting to completely derail any other threads I figured it was time to start a new one.

I know this Christmas is going to be a strange one for many of us, plans are up in the air and we’re each trying to get through it a best we can.

I’d like to take the opportunity to reach out and help if I can, if anyone has a friend or a neighbour, or I they themselves are struggling, where a Christmas card, an extra present, a bag of food will really make the difference please let me know. We will be doing the usual food bank and Katharine House donations but I also realise some people fall through the cracks too and the biggest impact can often be made on a personal level.

I’m also in need of inspiration, I’m trying to get Into the spirit, we’ve got the trees up and the movie line up planed, trying to cram in some activities too but I’m not quite feeling it yet.

And as most of the next few weeks is going to be spent at home easy bake recipes, simple Christmas crafts. Tried and tested homemade decoration ides, I want them all along with Tier compliant outdoor activity inspiration too.

This looks good, we didn’t make it over the summer but I’ve only heard good things. I’ve got a couple of movies booked in for December but it looks like they’re selling out fast.

Only a three day working week for me this week so the weekend starts here!

A large chunk of my Christmas shopping has been done this morning, which is a relief - still a few more to get but I'm putting a dent in what will probably be only online shopping this year.

I'm still trying to shop local where I can though - does anyone know if salter Street toys is open again? I'm hoping I can place an order over the phone. Its a shame they haven't got an online shop.
