I don’t like the john Lewis ad, I was trying to understand the msg behind it. I love the song both the original and this version by the vaults

It may appeal to dog lovers and people interested in furry animals but how is this meant to get you to shop at john Lewis and what are they trying to sell.

John Lewis have said ‘we hope our advert will make people smile. It really embraces a sense of fun and magic, reminding everyone what it feels to give the perfect gift at Christmas’.

I can understanding the ‘giving’ part but I thought they were being a bit irresponsible in that they do not back the ad up with a msg that says 'a trampoline is for life not just for Christmas'

I love this very clever sends a very clear message of peace and forgiveness being at the heart of Christmas and very subtly done on the commercial front!
