Christmas Cake

Should be quite yummy. Going to feed it some brandy too, though should have been organised and baked it before now.

Just out of interest, looking at the list of ingredients for your cake, what is there in non vegan crissy cake you have avoided with this recipe, as it seems identical to me (mind I'm no baking expert by any stretch)?

Anyway hope it tastes as nice as it looks on screen

The vegan version avoids butter and eggs. Everyone I ever give vegan cake to says its really nice and they can't tell what's different.

Am looking forward to trying it- still in the oven at present!

I have a recipe for vegan chocolate cake somewhere that uses vegetable oil instead of butter/eggs which is very good indeed.

Try it... The eggs are only a method of binding the ingredients. The Christmas cake went down very well with colleagues. As Withnail says, vegan choccy cake also very nice indeed. There's a choccy cake I make occasionally and again blink and everyone has gobbled it.

Had some of that at a mate's last night. She's not a vegan, just fancied the recipe. It was lovely and you couldn't tell it wasn't made from the 'real' stuff.
