Thing about the Apollo is that it lies within that last area of Stafford that the Police are willing to actually 'police' after midnight.

Question is, is there a market for another cattle shed in the quadrant? Supplementary question is, would the building 'as is' be suitable for such a venture?

The answer to the first is 'i don't know', to the supplementary is 'probably not'.

Either way, the prognosis is dilapidation and decay, or 'accidental' fire and demolition.

It's probably not worth getting overly sentimental about such things.

It, and the Carnegie Library will go, eventually, and be replaced by apartments, with retail opportunities (largely unfulfilled) at street level.

The other thing about the Apollo, which makes it a markedly different prospect than the Library, is its host of neighbourly 'going concerns' surrounding and indeed attached to it.

It would take a pretty substantial fire to take out the whole lot.

It would be perfect for a music venue. Something ive wanted to see in stafford for a long time. I really hate having to travel to birmingham to see a half decent band. If someone with the right contacts took it on imagine how well it would do. Stafford is growing at a rate of knots and it would be a welcome addition in my opinion.
