Nah not me I'm a poor teacher, but seriously I do know people who earn that much, they don't tend to spend for the sake of it though, they have a nice holiday but nothing exotic, no mortgage, only eat out if it's an occasion and not for the sake of it, so you're right in saying some Stafford folk don't spend a lot of money in the town, as I believe Clothes shopping is online.

I've already aired my views on another thread so now it may be able to be discussed properly ( I live in hope)!
A music venue with a capacity big enough for some decent bands. The Gatehouse takes less than 600 in fixed seats. This venue would give us another option.

Get us on the circuit like TheRobin in Bilston or Holmfirth Picturedrome. Great idea.

Who here earns more than £83,000 a year?

The higher earners live outside the town

In the willages

That's a problem

For the town

more twaddle by JM.

No I said a dozen, if it was 24 I would have said 2 dozen ;)

Of course I am not going into specifics but the top family earner is 750,000 annually leaving in rowley park.

a couple live newport road earn over 250,000.

The rest earning over 100,000 to 250,000 live from baswich to milford areas.

I don't mind admitting I associate myself with money, as I am fortunate enough have it myself. In 2017 there will be another addition to Stafford in that bracket...me :)

So there is plenty of money in stafford, I know there is. Stafford itself is just, and mean just slightly behind Lichfield and South Staffordshire in average earnings.

Ah, the Rowley Park family are probably my old bosses. IT firm in Newcastle?

Are you talking about household earnings rather than individual? There'll be lots of households earning over £100k...

@Gareth It doesn't matter how much people who live in Stafford are earning if they don't spend their vast fortunes in the town.

So would you say it's 6 friends and 6 family members?

My old mate Kev ?

Ultimately does it matter what you earn, if your not risking your own capital or employing others then you probably have very little economic input and are just another wage slave / middle manager.

So shouldn't the real question be how many people do you employ directly or indirectly, how much of your own wealth you risk, or how many people depend on you (a nurse may have little economic contribution but ask family members how they rate the worth of a paramedic who has performed ECT on a loved on).

If someone who is employed by others is bragging about their salary why don't they show some real courage and set up by them-self, risk their own capital and try and make even greater rewards ?

Yep.

At this point of my life, I'm quite happy earning a comfortable salary working for a company. I don't need to work for myself to prove anything, which I think is what you are suggesting we all should do hop?

No not at all. I was actually pointing out how little a salary shows (hence my remark about paramedics). If someone is boasting about a salary whilst being employed by someone else then there really is nothing to boast about, perhaps instead they should praise the company they work for rather than trying to blow their own trumpet.
