I have had a compost bin for years, and I use the resulting compost for mulching my borders in spring!

I can get very excited about composting, luvley stuff. My top tip is that we all have a ready source of amonia and nitrates that should be liberally applied to your bin to get it to heat up and kill weeds and weed seeds!

Some call it Chairman Mao's mixture, (from it's composting use in rural China). The special ingredient is ... good old fashioned piss.

Only really works for fella's with a private garden (but if you are an adventurous woman, give it a go), but whenever I am passing my bin and feel the urge, I add a little of Chairman Mao's mixture, works wonders ... honest!

Happy composting!
