Hi jetsetcat,

A holiday... I wish!

I've not received a PM from you so I assume you've emailed me. Unfortunately we've had a bit of a problem with our email lately (see here) and so won't have seen your message.

If you can send me the details via PM then I will get the password changed.

Thanks :)

I'm not sure what you mean! It looks OK from this end.

Do you mean that some threads have a tiny picture of your avatar in the lower right-hand corner? If so, that is just there to let you know that you have posted in that particular thread, in case you want to check up on it to see how the conversation has progressed since you dipped your toe in.

If you mean something else, by all means please let me know by clicking the Private Message button underneath my name. :)

Ok thanks Admin, probably me, just thought I had clicked on something I shouldn't have, if you say it is ok, then that's fine, cheers from Camsnan.

Could you replace the first image in the "What book are we reading?" thread with this one, please.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images...ow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU02_.jpg

There's something up with the image I originally chose, and it wouldn't do to start a thread with a broken link.

thanks in advance
Done. For a quicker response, please send me a Private Message by clicking the button underneath my avatar. :)

Can you make all vinegar in chip shops none malted and clear please

thank you
I'll see what I can do! :P

Why is there a five minute limit on being able to edit posts?

Mmmm. I sometimes post and then move on to another thread/forum or actually to do some work and when I come back I may notice a spelling mistake or other error. I hate getting spelling wrong and would like to edit a mistake but obviously with a 5 minute limit I can't do that but understand why it's been implemented.

I am amazed that Admin has had the rozzers at their house.

Please note, this thread is supposed to be if you want your username, or anything to do with your profile changing, not general changes to how The Forum operates. There are other threads for that. :)

I refer the right honourable gentleman to the answer Admin gave some moments ago -

http://www.staffordforum.com/xf/index.php?threads/how-do-i-edit-my-posts.9471/#post-153940
Thanks Withnail. I actually increased the edit time limit to 15 minutes some time ago, which should be enough for anyone. Any changes that need to be made after 15 minutes would be considered an update to the original post (and therefore require a new post), rather than an edit to the original.

I am amazed that Admin has had the rozzers at their house.

Indeed, as was I. More than once.

Running this place is far from easy, let me tell you!

Can you delete my thread please so i can put the new updated one on. Thanks
Not sure why you couldn't just update the existing thread with the new information (the more posts/detail a thread has, the better), but I have done as requested. :)

It'd be swell if we could edit pictures to some degree. Or, if not this, if we could upload pictures rather than just link to them.

When creating events, it's nice to include a related picture. At the moment, however, we can only put pictures in at whatever size they are somewhere else on the web.

For me this usually results in MASSIVE scary sized pictures that I think ruin my events posts. If I could upload my own, I could reduce them in size first.

Don't know how difficult this would be to enable, but it'd be great.
