Maan this looks like the coolest film ever. I doubt that the cinema will play it.... but the Stafford Film Theatre is always looking for films to play. Why not suggest to them this film if they havent already got it.
I love Samantha Morton, fantastic British actress. The new guy playing the Curtis role, was on tv saying the first scene they shot was a 'gig' scene, all the crowd were die hard fans, he said he started crapping it when right before filming one fan threatened him "you better f**king do a good job, I f**king loved Ian, man".
Not the biggest Joy Division fan tbh and I don't think their music has aged that well. However I saw it Sunday night (snide). It's a decent enough film however I know one or two who don't like it. As predictable an ending as the Titantic but it's still quite harrowing.
One or two of the lads and lasses who I meet up with in Manc saw it at the Cornerhouse on Friday night and said some of the audience were in tears as the credits started to roll.
Unless the Stafford Film Club run it in the near future I don't know many places locally that will be showing it.
