i know there's been some talk around here about sharing files twixt macs and PCs over a predominantly PC network, so thought i'd share this handy little OS X system pref pane i stumbled upon:

it adds an extra icon to your system preferences, and allows you to easily and quickly set up samba shares on your OS X mac.. i think leopard might have this functionality built-in, buried deep in some setting pane somewhere, but i'm on tiger where no such thing exists so it has proved to be a god send.. i can now access my Movie share from my wii, and use it as a little media centre
