Just been informed I'm 'doin the town' Friday night - Crown, Sun, Chambers and the P&A (although they still haven't given me a gig!), Birthday Party Saturday night.....how will I survive?

Beer festival on at The Crown Hyde Lea this week-end. Ten beers listed at present. Old Rosie cider + three other ciders still TBA.
Last years was blessed with good weather and a good time was had by all in the beer garden with the entertainment (accoustic & vocal) and barbeque.

Yeah, saw that. It's the guy that does the Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra type stuff.
Have to say, he's very good at what he does, but not my cup of PG I'm afraid.
On the plus side He's only on 2.00 til 4.00.

Hopefully they'll keep him indoors and the sun will shine on the drinking classes.

Good time had by all, Michael Bubble chappy better than expected got a good atmos going. Two guys with guitars doing covers afterwards. Don't know who they were but they were OKish.
Was a bit 'relaxed' by then.

yes twas a good do, a very good selection of ales I thought. Will try and bike up there more often, the ride down the hill on the way back was negotiated without injury as well! Well done to The Crown, keep on rockin in the free world!

'Michael Bubble' chappie is there again along with the girl that was on at the new year's eve bash, accoustic/vocals, very good. Possibly Martin Heath too.
