Wanted 'Dansette' or similar vintage record player - Any condition

My daughter has developed an interest in old vinyl 45s and wanted one of those vintage record players popularised by 'Dansette' and other makers in the 1950's - 1960's to play them on. Does anyone have one to beg, buy or barter please ? I renovate electro-mechanical devices, so anything considered - even non-working. Thank you for any responses.

It's worth asking Tim in Collectable Records on Wolverhampton Road.

Such things have been seen at the boot sale on the odd occasion, too.

There's a couple of vintage stalls in the market and I remember seeing a couple of Dansette type record players in there last time I looked.

Rachel at Vintage Avenue in the market is a very good bet. If you have had a look
at: D33 (Becky Draws), Vintage Avenue is next door.

I quizzed Tim's mate, Steve, yesterday, and he says that he has one with a bit of work* needed - I doubt that a mortgage would be necessary to get him to part with it - probably not a real Dansette, though, if that matters.

* Just a dicky pick-up connection, he thinks.
