Dodgy voicemails

Upon checking my voicemails I have one from 24th November claiming that "urgent action was needed because my NI number was due to be suspended due to illegal activities and then asking me to call back by pressing # to speak to an officer".

No description of who they were, no contact number, no NI number reference and the general tone of the message means I shall NOT be pressing # and said officer can suspend my NI number if he or she even knows it!!

Probably calls a premium rate number so beware if you get something similar.

My OH had the same. Personally I'd be happy for my NI number to be suspended, it'd save me a few quid and there's unlikely to still be a pension etc. at this rate when I retire (if that ever happens!).
