We didn't find out about this till today, & didn't know it was available in Stafford, but hopefully if will help someone.

You can order a Small food delivery via Uber Eats of GROCERYS (I think its called Cornershop), the food can come from either Asda or Londis.

The list of goods is limited, but you can get all the basics you need if you don't want to leave the house. Delivery costs between 79p & £1.79 (plus tip) , depending how much you order, our delivery came within 30 minutes of placing the order.

Brilliant service. You can also send someone a Uber Voucher by email, then that can order what they want & have it delivered.

I'm doing a nudge (again)

Hope everyone's ok?
What with the virus and the weather, it int a good time at the mo, is it?
It's horrible, isn't it.

Apart from being monumentally fed up, I'm good.

How are you doing?

Same. Just had a really lovely long weekend off, now I'm in for 8 days on the trot.
I must have booked the weekend for 1 of the 2 weddings I'm invited to, but the dates keep changing!x

February has always been the worst month for me, which is why we tend to go away then. I'm finding I'm sleeping about 10 hours a day at the moment, I have stopped setting my alarm and that's probably a slippery slope. I've just bought some Well Woman to give me all the vitamins!

Wilko have seed potatoes in so got our supply at the weekend, and the seeds should be coming soon. I always start the greenhouse plants off in the house in February.

Really can't wait for the weather to be better, got lots to do in the garden & I'm itching to get started.

I think @Gramaisc should start a new thread, which explains what we should be doing in the garden each week, step by step.
Mmm, things might get a bit out of phase. It's currently 10C where I am.

I've just cleaned the top of the oil tank and cut back the overhanging bushes, in preparation for a fill when the lad next goes past in a few days time.

The darkness is also an issue for me. I could sleep 23 hours a day without any difficulty.

I have a ten minute snooze period repeatedly available - and a rule that I will not end this cycle until I am out of bed and clothed.

My bed is positioned to receive maximum morning light input.

My preferred bedroom is on the northwest corner of the house, but I suspect that falling asleep in there could actually be fatal.

I switched off my alarm because my snooze cycle was getting overused. On both Saturday and Sunday I woke up, looked at my watch and it was 8am. The very next instant it was after 9. Our bedroom does face north so that won't help. I must start going for a run in the mornings to get myself back into a routine.

I hate January/February too.

I'm not really helping myself buy not sticking to a routine on my days off, but everything's become such an effort. Today's monotony was broken up by a trip to the Dr's for my vitamin injection. Surprised I managed to force myself to put clothes on and not turn up there in pyjamas & wellies!

@littleme I started! For the first time ever I've planted onion seeds in an attempt to get bigger onions than sets allow. Had to plant in January and keep on warm windowledge. They already sprouted! Hasn't made me feel like spring is coming tho tbh :(

All of winter defeats me. I'm wfh so turned the alarm off last April and show up when I wake . At the weekend I could easily sleep til mid day. I also take daily vitamins to try and help my winter hibernation. I just need the warm and sun. Nothing really helps.

I don't know how you are all managing with wfh, my shifts mean I have either 2 days or 3 days off together per week & I really struggle with boredom. I have things I want to do, but I can't find the motivation at all, all I want to do is sleep as long as I can, try to recharge for the next few days of idiots at work, and think about what I'm going to eat or drink.

I'm looking forwards to my seeds arriving, and some nicer weather, but that's about it at the moment....

It's only since Christmas the alarm has been switched off; and I think it's just the seasons, I am happy WFH and want to continue to at least half the time when we eventually go back to the office.

Once you get used to it wfh is fab. I wake up around 8, go downstairs, log on and then go and get ready for work which means bath and in to comfies.. Work 8 hours with stops for laundry and food. Log off at 4 ish, walk dog, clean house, listen to music, watch TV, bed and book. I don't do anything from the to do list. I just work, chill after it and sleep. No running, gardening, decluttering, I mean what's the flippin point :(.. Wake up, work out how quickly I can get back to bed would sum it up.

If anyone is self isolating , or just needs a dog walking at anytime , I'd be more than happy to come and give them a good walk. Been pounding the streets on my own for hours everyday , and would be so much more enjoyable with a friendly pooch alongside.
