I need a recommended dog groomer for my King Charles Spaniel please. I did have one but last time she clipped my little dog I think she should have gone to Specsavers!!!

I use The Grooming Barn at Milford. They do a good job, I can take my dog for a nice long walk before so he's nice and calm, and he doesn't mind going there - the previous place I took him to left him really shaken.

I use Jenny's Dog Grooming. She's a mobile dog groomer who comes to your home and clips your dog.
Her number is 07976 399256. Jenny has been grooming dogs for around 20 years so has experience of all breeds.

I use Julie. she's just around the corner from us at the Reynolds centre. its handy for me as she's local and as she's got a salon I can drop my fairly large dogs there and don't have to decorate the bathroom every time I bath them. her number is 07814 087318.

Another vote for The Grooming barn at Milford.

I do what jacs does and take her for a nice long walk on Cannock Chase at Milford then straight to The Grooming barn to get her hair done.

I tried Julie a few times and he came out shaking the last time and wasn't his normal self for a few days. She also seemed moody at times and was always changing the day/time of our appointment. So thought it best to take him elsewhere. I have no complaints with the Grooming Barn so far.

I have heard really good things about Jenny's Mobile service though.

I know she cancelled a few times on me a little while back but I was lead to believe she had been quite poorly for a while. I know my two get along fine there but dogs are like people and I guess some like one person more than another. I've tries a few groomers and it is hard to find a consistent one. they are often great at first then seem to tail off a bit. I have to speak as I find and no problems with Julie as yet.

My mother in law use a place in Stone, not sure of the name but it's just down from and opposite the entrance to Morrisons, she's used them for years and says they do a really good job. Our collie on the other hand just gets a good hose down every now and then.

I would only use Scallywags in Parkside. I have been to other locals ones and been really disappointed.

Lisa from Scallywags is highly professional and my pooch always comes out looking like a princess

This is a spaniel, having a bad hair day.
Before anyone says anything too critical I should point out:
1. This is my spaniel.
2. According to the number of people who point and laugh, we look very similar.

We no longer use the Grooming Barn. We now go to Mandy who used to work there but set up on her own. Our dog was used to her and we were very happy with her so made sense. She does a great job, in her own home so dogs are much more relaxed, she only does one dog at a time and leaves time between appointments so there's no chance of two dogs coming into contact and getting stressed. She also loves dogs, unlike lots of places who just see it as a job.

I have taken my ratbag in the past for a puppy groom at the Grooming Barn unfortunately the last visit he didn't seem as happy and I didn't receive a good impression of the business when I collected him.

I am trying Hillcroft Bark tonight so fingers crossed.
