This Saturday sees us take on North Ferriby at home. We've now lost one in eleven, in the league as well as winning our last 5 consecutive away games. North Ferriby have wone there last 4. Sean Kinsella left this week for Northwich claiming he wanted to go to a bigger club. While they may be top of the league they've been in and out of admin a number of times and are still 34 places behind us in the non league crowd ratings at the moment!
We have Jon Patrick & Fabrice Kassiama returning to the club having trained and re-signed for us. A win could lift us another couple of places further into the top half.

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

Had to learn it as a punishment at school, in the 70's; the choice was go away learn it and recount it, without notes, or the slipper! :eng101: Loved it ever since...

NO, Not the slipper, ya numpties!:rolleyes:

Stafford Rangers 0 - Hednesford 1

Shenanigans aplenty;

i) First time i've seen the ref himself manhandle a player out of a fight (quite surprised he didn't book himself given how slap dash he was with the card)

ii) Fisticuffs in the managers area resulting in both assistant managers being sent into the stand (what kicked that off, did anybody see?)

iii) First time i've seen a player booked without even taking to the field ( involvement in the above)

iv) Over-boisterousness of both sets of fans sees the Constabulary in to the ground to keep the peace (one 80's revival i think we can all do without)

Apart from the result (and the cold), money's worth at Marston Road. :)

Not a good game at all.
Police were called about the town some of the Hednesford dicks were in the club at half time breaking glasses and tables! I really hope we send them the bill!
Apparently bottles and coins were thrown from the Hednesford area into our crowd in second half too.
Not quite sure what happened on the touchline but our assistant, Doz Garner and their manager Rob Smith got sent off. Our management team are a passionate pair who generally bark orders and stand for the whole game, their team Smith & Chambers, I have sat next to at a game before and wouldnt be surprised if they'd done some winding up!

As far as the touchline goes, it was definitely 'them' that came over to 'us'. By the time i looked round to see what was going on, the Hednesford lot were over into the Rangers 'technical area' with some geezer throttling Mr. Garner!

Didn't know that about what went on in the club, but you have to admit that a rather large contingent of Rangers fans went as far as they could toward the Stic fans in a rather provocative manner.

Two wrongs and all that...

Talking of which - i didn't notice any on the way in, but they were certainly there on the way out.

What is the bill for the Old Bill - and will we have to pay that?

We have to pay for Police who came in the ground, during the second half, when a Hednesford fan tried to throw a bottle our way and coins were showering over. Glad to say I saw no one in our end throw anything back. Anyway Withnail, we don't have to pay for the 14 police vehicles outside after, thankfully, as glad as I am of their presence after to avert any trouble.
