Downloading text conversations iPhone

My friend has an iPhone 4 and is upgrading to an iPhone 5 in the next few months. She has quite a few text conversations on there which are between her and her dad, who sadly passed away last year. Seeing as the messages are saved on the phone and not the SIM card she can't just take them with her, as it were.

Does anyone know if there's an easy way for her to download the full conversation threads to her computer as jpegs? I've only used an iPhone a couple of times and don't know a great deal about them. Having Googled the question is seems you can quite easily download them as text files but she wants them as if she'd screen-grabbed them.

Any ideas?

Hold your sleep/wake button down and then tap your home button. If done successfully you should hear a click just like a camera. The screen shot can then be found in your camera roll.

Sorry, I mean full conversations which would take up multiple screenshots.

Not sure this will help any, but son uses an app called 'Screen Muncher' - it saves whatever is on the screen as a picture (I believe), it may take a few pictures to get the whole conversation but its an idea?

Hope you manage to solve your problem.

On Android you can get apps to do this... is there nothing similar on iPhone? Is the phone jailbroken, surely there must be an option if it is?

Sorry, just re-read and saw you want them as jpegs....

Can she not just transfer them to the new phone since they are both iDevices?
