Dr Who!

Just want to say how entertaining this series has been. The first part of the final episode was as good a peice of tellyvisual nonesense I have seen for many a year. Losts of knowing nods to the audience about Blairism etc' it was delicious. OK the finale wasn't quite on the button, but as a whole I have found the whole series unmissable, and the best bit is, is the whole of Seedom are glued; its the only programme The Venerable Mrs Seed, the Seedlings and I watch together. Seedling Minor is of course terrified, and every week says he won't watch but does, ah! such sweet memories, William Hartnell!

So congrats to the Beeb, and all involved, Saturday Evening TV won't be the same without it!

Cookie, Much though I admire your taste and fortitude, a young gal of marriageable age like yourself, you've got to get out more!

i thought the whole the doctor = jesus thing was a bit much.. but the plethora of hitchhiker's guide references raised a wry smile :)

Yep! couldn't agree more, all a bit mawkish, that's what I meant about the last episode losing it's way, shame really, because the rest of the series was excellent.

I thought the last episode was an abomination. Hopefully they won't let Russell T Davies write the series finale next year.

I thought the last episode was a bit poor on first viewing as I was saying things like "A weapon stored all round the world - don't be daft" and stuff. On second viewing it was much better - particulaly cos my shouting at the 1st time was drowning out the throw away explanations that I like Dr. Who for - like "I've had a whole year to tune myself in to the satalites" and "all our memories are linked" that I missed when I was shouting "there's no damn way they would catch that same child it's a 1 in 7 billion chance!". In Star Trek they would have to precicsly go through all the science and stuff but Dr. Who can just ignore it all and say "It's a paradox machine". So I thouht it much better on a second viewing but then it should be good first time - maybe I was just expecting something else. Bit slow at he very end going round giving out flowers and stuff and the titanic didn't look big enough!

Flash Gordon ref at the end of the last one made my smile.
